FAQ – Frequently asked questions
- Are you open all year round? We are open from approximately April 1 to November 1. The exact dates vary per year.
- Do you have seasonal pitches? No, we are phasing out our seasonal pitches. Tourist places come back for this.
- Are PETS allowed? Dogs, cats, birds and other pets are not allowed. Not even if they fit in a handbag or always stay in a caravan/camper.
- Do you have a restaurant? Yes, since 2023 there has been Restaurant TIB with a small menu that also serves guests with allergies. There is also a limited menu for vegetarians. The restaurant is open Thursday to Sunday for breakfast and dinner.
- Do you rent bicycles? No, we do not rent bicycles ourselves. The center of Schoorl is 500 meters away and there you will find Raat bicycle rental.
- Are campers allowed? Yes, small campers up to 7 meters in length (including bicycle carrier) are allowed on the grass. Driving back and forth with the camper is NOT permitted.
- Do I need tokens for the shower? No, the showers and hot water points work with a sensor. The showers are set for a 5-minute shower with the option to take a break in between.
- Can the car be parked near the tent/caravan? No, we have a car-free camping site. The car is in a parking lot that is monitored by cameras. The car is only allowed on site to deliver or collect a caravan or trailer tent. We have luggage carts to bring tent, luggage or groceries to the site.
- Do you have a store? The nearest supermarket is 500 meters from the campsite, so we do not have our own shop.
- Is there an animation team? No, children play outside and with each other at the campsite. The sandbox with play castle is the meeting place where all ages play together. Many activities for children are organized in Schoorl and the surrounding area and children can enjoy themselves in nature or on the beach. Check the activities calendar in our Camping app.
- Can I receive guests? Yes, you can receive guests. Day guests do not need to be registered. If guests/overnight guests stay overnight, they must be registered on the day of arrival.If guests/overnight guests stay overnight, they must be registered on the day of arrival. Are the guests coming by car? They can park in our second car park, 200 meters from the campsite. Opposite Voorweg 43.
- Do you have a location where I can cook indoors? No, not yet.
- Is there an area where cyclists or walkers can take shelter when it rains? No, not yet.
- Do you rent houses? No, the camping houses on our site are privately owned by our guests and are not rented out.
- Is the camping site suitable for the disabled? Our site is accessible to guests in a mobility scooter/wheelchair, but they must still be able to stand and take a few steps. We have a toilet with safety rails and a spacious (family) room that can be used by a wheelchair.
- Can I use a fire pit? No, open fire is NOT allowed.
- Can I have a barbecue? BBQ with electricity or gas is allowed. Charcoal BBQs and disposable BBQs are NOT allowed.
- Is there WiFi available? Yes, we have WiFi Free and Premium. WiFi Free is free and intended for reading e-mail and sending messages. WiFi Premium is paid and is strong enough for watching TV, streaming and gaming.
- When can I book for next year? We will start online bookings for the coming season in the first week of January. We can be reached by telephone and e-mail from mid-February.
- How often do you send a newsletter? We send a newsletter once a year in December. Here we look back on the past season and announce the changes and booking options for the new year. Would you like to receive this newsletter or not? Log in in your guest area or at the reception.
