About our campsite
Camping Buitenduin was founded in 1915 and has since been popular with young and old who love nature.
The campsite is located in the heart of Schoorl about 15 kilometers north of the historic city of Alkmaar in the municipality of Bergen. The center, the Schoorlse Duinen, the most beautiful walking and cycling paths are within 500 meters of the campsite.
We have about 70 pitches, including 40 tourist pitches for tents, trailer tents, caravans and small campers. All comfort pitches have electricity, a drinking water tap and the possibility to drain dirty water into a well. There are (family) comfort pitches for caravans up to 7.00 meters, campers up to 6.5 meters and tents/trailer trailers up to 5.00 wide x 8.00 meters long. The (family) XL comfort pitches are for caravans (single axle) up to 8.00 meters and campers up to 7.5 meters. The total length of the campers also includes the bicycle rack, especially if it turns away from the bodywork.
The family (XL) comfort pitches can only be booked with 3 people or more and are located around the sandbox with play castle or within sight/hearing distance.
The camping site is car-free and bicycles are not allowed to cycle on the grass, so there is a safe environment for children to play. From a young age you can walk safely to your friends, the sandpit or the children’s toilet, that’s what every child wants.
Guests indicate that they experience the cosiness, positive contact with the managers and the small scale as very pleasant and that they feel welcome and can relax here from the first moment.
